October 19, 2006 was a long time ago. Carlos Beltran is no longer a Met, Shea Stadium is no longer standing. But this still hurts. Ah well, happy 36th, ‘Los.

Valerie Bertinelli, born on the same exact day as Def Leppard guitarist “Steamin’” Steve Clark, wound up marrying Eddie Van Halen. COINCIDENCE? Yeah, probably. Happy 53rd, Valerie. Watch the leg.

Jack Nicholson, Neptune City’s Finest, turned 76 today. I can’t handle the truth.

Marion “Suge” Knight is by far the most famous former UNLV football player to have his possessions sold off on “Storage Wars.” He also turns 48 today. Happy birthday, Suge.

Ian MacKaye is 51 today. Listen to Fugazi.

Happy birthday Fränk Schleck. Do us all a favor and eat the whole cake, huh?

I can’t for the life of me figure out why I was into the Stray Cats when I was a kid. It’s not like I’m old enough to remember the ’50s first-hand (shut up) and I didn’t get into other ’50s nostalgia ephemera like Grease, Happy Days or Sha Na Na. But there it was. “Stray Cat Strut,” all that stuff. Anyway, Brian Setzer - who himself was born right at the tail end of the ’50s himself - turns 54 today. Happy birthday.

Christopher “Kid” Reid of Kid N Play fame turned 49 today. Don’t believe it? Back in the day you could have just cut the high-top fade and counted the rings.

The best-known BMX rider in the world doesn’t even really ride BMX anymore. Dave Mirra is more into rally cars these days, but never forget what the man could do on a little bike. And would someone please clean up his Wikipedia page? Disgraceful. Happy 39th, Miracle Boy.

A very happy 45th birthday to former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach, who put the andro in androgynous.
