Welcome to New York, Carmelo Anthony!
Tonight Timofey Mozgov will face his worst nightmare, as Blake Griffin makes his Madison Square Garden debut. We all remember what happened the last time they met. Well Tim, it’s worth remembering that you weren’t the first Knick to suffer such indignity, and you certainly won’t be the last.
MLK Day means (among other things, obviously) NBA matinees. The most memorable one I attended at the Garden was Knicks/Spurs in 2001, a Knicks blowout win that also featured a transcendent moment of racial harmony and nonviolence.
